Unifi Business and TNG Digital have joined forces in a strategic partnership to drive 5G adoption and improve digital payment solutions for over one million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Malaysia. This collaboration integrates Unifi’s UNI5G Postpaid Biz plans with the Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet Soundbox, offering MSMEs high-speed 5G connectivity alongside secure and efficient cashless payment solutions. The initiative is designed to help businesses transition smoothly into the digital economy while enhancing transaction security and mobility.
As part of this partnership, Unifi is offering bundled plans that include the Unifi Business Fibre 300Mbps package paired with a UNI5G Postpaid Biz 65 plan for RM199 per month. Additionally, MSMEs can access free 5G-enabled device bundles, with prices starting from RM49 per month. These plans come with business tools such as digital marketing support, cloud storage, e-commerce solutions, and cybersecurity services. The Government’s Geran Digital PMKS Madani (GDPM) further reduces costs, making these solutions more accessible to small businesses.
The TNG eWallet Soundbox is a key feature of this collaboration, designed to enhance transaction efficiency and security. It provides instant voice alerts when payments are received, allowing merchants to verify transactions quickly and reduce fraud risks. The Soundbox is available at a discounted price, with the WiFi-only version at RM220 (originally RM260) and the WiFi model with a UNI5G SIM card at RM300 (down from RM340). This feature is particularly beneficial for businesses that handle high transaction volumes, ensuring a seamless and secure payment experience.
According to Shanti Jusnita Johari, Unifi’s Chief Commercial Officer for Consumer Strategy and Business, integrating the UNI5G Biz plans with the TNG eWallet Soundbox offers an ideal combination of mobile connectivity and digital payments, enhancing customer experience. Alan Ni, CEO of TNG Digital, emphasized that the partnership leverages Unifi’s advanced UNI5G capabilities to optimize transaction management for merchants while promoting financial inclusivity.
This collaboration represents a major step forward in equipping Malaysian MSMEs with advanced digital tools and connectivity, fostering a more secure and digitally-driven business environment.
